I have been creating art since before I can remember. I have tried to imagine giving it up and pursuing other interests but when I look at nature, people and the world around me I love to examine it and contemplate God's vast creativity and it compels me to portray it.

I think of the joy and fun God must have had while He was creating everything. He is the ultimate artist and creator and without Him we can create nothing. God could have created the world void of color or in monotone, void of texture, void of transparency or opacity, void of reflection, glow, shadow and value. We take all this for granted but I absolutely love it all and stand amazed at God's creation, especially what's visible to the eye...the art that He created for us to behold.

Whether working in oils, acrylics or watercolors or drawing with graphite, colored pencil or charcoal I desire to magnify often overlooked aspects of God's imagination and creativity in my art. Even when I draw or paint something that's "manmade" like a vase, house, etc. what I want to show is not so much the object but the colors, shadows, reflections and all the other aspects that God has splashed onto it so we can enjoy the world He placed us in. God is so very good and I am grateful to Him for giving me this gift. He is my all in all.

Peggy is a fourth generation native of Phoenix with a love for "seeing" art in all life. Growing up as a child Peggy rarely had an art class at school but was always encouraged by her parents (who bought her a variety of art supplies) to pursue her passion for art. She was thrilled upon entering high school where art class was available every day and all four years. She entered art shows in high school which were not very successful but still she had a passion for art. After high school she took several fine art as well as architectural classes to grow and gain perspective skills at Phoenix College where she studied under artist Merrill Mahaffey and other great instructors who always were a great encouragement to her. It was here that she honed her drawing skills and several of her pieces were kept by the college to be added to their permanent collection. Over the years she has completed numerous pencil portraits, has worked in the area of cartographic drafting, graphic design and nine years as a greeting card designer and illustrator for a local dental/medical publisher and is a muralist. Peggy is passionate about her art no matter where it takes her. She has a love for painting in oils and acrylics and is currently pursuing children's book illustration.
